Refund Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy explains when we refund a payment for AnswerPeek, how to ask for one, and what happens to your access when you cancel. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. The short version

  • Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, with no credit card. You do not pay anything until you have used the product.
  • If you are unhappy with your first payment on a subscription, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it in full.
  • If an automatic renewal caught you out, tell us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it, as long as you have not used your check quota in that new period.
  • Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund the period you are already in — you keep access until it ends.

2. Why the trial comes first

The trial exists so that a refund is rarely the thing you need. It runs for seven days on any plan, asks for no card, and gives you real checks against real AI assistants — not a demo. If AnswerPeek is not going to work for you, the trial is where you will find that out, before any money changes hands. If you take no action, the trial simply ends; nothing is charged automatically at the end of a trial you did not convert.

3. Your first payment: 14 days

If you subscribe and then decide within 14 days that AnswerPeek is not right for you, email us and we will refund that payment in full. This applies to your first payment on a subscription, on both monthly and annual billing — an annual plan is not excluded from it, and is refunded in full within the same window.

We do not ask you to justify the request, and we do not deduct for the checks you ran while deciding. We do ask that the account is not being used to abuse the Service — see section 7.

This window covers the service not being right for you — it is not what it looks like, it does not fit how you work, you changed your mind. It is not a performance guarantee, and the two are worth keeping apart: within 14 days you do not need a reason at all, so nothing here requires you to prove one. After 14 days, a claim that the results were disappointing is not a ground for a refund, for the reason set out in section 7.

4. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and we email a receipt for every charge. If a renewal went through that you did not intend, contact us within 7 days of the charge. If you have not spent the check quota for that new period, we refund it in full and cancel the subscription.

After that window, a renewal is not normally refunded — you have the period you paid for, and cancelling stops the one after it. If something specific went wrong, tell us anyway; section 6 is not a formality.

5. Cancelling, and changing plans

  • Cancel any time from Billing inside the app, which opens the billing portal run by Paddle, our payment provider.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then, and we do not refund the unused remainder of a period on cancellation alone.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated — you pay only the difference for the rest of the period.
  • Downgrades take effect at your next billing date, so you keep the plan you paid for until then.
  • Your reports and history stay in your account after cancellation. Deleting your account is a separate action, described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Things we will refund outside these windows

The windows above are our standard commitment, not the limit of what we are willing to do. Email us if:

  • You were charged twice for the same period, or charged after cancelling.
  • An outage or defect on our side meant your checks did not run for a meaningful part of a billing period.
  • We removed an AI assistant from the Service that you were specifically paying to track, and no equivalent replaced it.
  • Someone charged your card without authorization. Tell us before your bank — we can usually resolve it faster, and a chargeback locks the account while it is investigated.

7. What we do not refund

One item on this list deserves its own explanation, because it is the difference between what we sell and what we cannot sell.

  • Results. A refund cannot be claimed on the ground that your visibility did not rise, that your brand stopped appearing in an answer it used to appear in, that a fix produced no measurable effect, or that an AI provider changed something and your score fell. As section 2 of our Terms of Servicesets out, those outcomes sit inside systems we neither operate nor influence. We sell the measurement, the analysis and the recommendations; we do not sell a position inside somebody else’s model, and we price accordingly.
  • Periods that ended before you contacted us, beyond the windows in sections 3 and 4.
  • The unused remainder of a period after a voluntary cancellation.
  • Accounts we suspend or terminate for breaching the Terms of Service — for example reselling access, or evading rate limits.
  • Refund requests made through a chargeback rather than to us, where the charge turns out to have been authorized.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@answerpeek.com from the address on the account, and tell us which charge you mean — the receipt number from your Paddle email is the quickest way. You do not need to explain yourself, though it helps us fix whatever went wrong.

We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle.com Market Limited, which is the merchant of record for every AnswerPeek subscription and the party that actually holds the payment. Money goes back to the original payment method, typically within 3–10 business days depending on your bank. You can also raise a refund request with Paddle directly through the link on your receipt.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the law where you live. In particular, consumers in the EEA and the UK have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Where that right applies, it applies in addition to everything above, and our 14-day commitment in section 3 is designed to meet it rather than replace it. Paddle’s own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to a payment is the one published when that payment was taken, and the “Last updated” date above tells you when this one came into effect.
